How it’s played

True foursomes: two players, one ball. Partners alternate shots until the ball is holed, and also alternate who tees off (one takes the odd holes, the other the even). It's the most demanding team format in golf — you're playing your partner's leaves all day. Lowest team total wins.

The scorer enters the shared team score once on either partner's row and it mirrors to both. Net play (default) deducts a team handicap of 50% of the partners' combined course handicaps, per USGA guidance for foursomes; uncheck handicap strokes for gross.

Ties. Level for a paid place, the Commish's tie-break decides it. Split (the default) pools the tied places and shares them evenly. Push voids the tied places: nobody collects them, and their shares go back to everyone who put in — a tie across two paid places voids both. USGA card match compares the tied scores over the last 9, then the last 6, 3 and 1 holes. App coin toss (Low Net and the team formats) is flipped in the app by the Commish, the scorekeeper or a group admin, and records who won, so the result is the same on every screen and when payouts are finished; until it is flipped the place splits.
