How it’s played

The simplest game in the app: stroke play with handicaps. Everyone plays their own ball, handicap strokes come off where the stroke index allocates them, and the lowest net total wins. It's the fairest single-winner format for a group with a wide spread of abilities — everyone has a real chance.

There are no format options; the payout settings do the configuring. Pay one place winner-take-all, or spread the total over the top finishers with a percent or fixed split.

Ties. Level for a paid place, the Commish's tie-break decides it. Split (the default) pools the tied places and shares them evenly. Push voids the tied places: nobody collects them, and their shares go back to everyone who put in — a tie across two paid places voids both. USGA card match compares the tied scores over the last 9, then the last 6, 3 and 1 holes. App coin toss (Low Net and the team formats) is flipped in the app by the Commish, the scorekeeper or a group admin, and records who won, so the result is the same on every screen and when payouts are finished; until it is flipped the place splits.

Settings you can change

None of its own — the money settings decide who gets paid.

Every game also has its money settings, set on the same screen when the game is added.
