How it’s played
The 2v2 game with big swings. On every hole each team pairs its two scores into a two-digit number, LOW digit first: a 4 and a 5 make 45. Low number wins the hole, and the difference between the numbers is the points won — 45 against 54 moves 9 points. The amount is the dollar value per point.
Two famous rules, both on by default. Flip the bird: a birdie flips the OPPONENT'S number high-digit-first (their 45 becomes 54); birdies on both sides cancel. Eagles double the hole's points. One disaster score is punishing by design: any score of 10 or more goes FIRST in the pairing (a 5 and a 10 pair as 105, not 51), which is exactly why the game bites. A per-hole point cap (0 = none) is available to keep blowout holes survivable.
Vegas is traditionally played gross and that's the default; teams settle zero-sum at the end.
