Joining with a code, and guest players

The Commish taps Share on the round to get its six-character game code, then uses Copy invite or Share… to send it. Everyone else chooses Join Game, enters the code and taps Join Game.

Joining adds you to that round as a player. It does not add you to the group behind the round.

Not everyone in the field needs the app. On Round Setup, the Commish can add a guest with just a name and, if you know it, a handicap. A guest plays in the games like anyone else; someone in their group keeps their card.

My Roster is your list of the people you play with. A name is enough. Add their email as well and they are linked to that roster entry automatically when they join a game with the same email.

A guest can take over their spot, scores and all. In the round’s lineup, use the link beside the guest (“Send claim link” on a finished round), then Create claim link, and send it however you like — Share… or Copy. When they open it and sign up — or sign in, if they already have an account — the spot is theirs.

The app does not send text messages. You send the link yourself, by text, email or anything else.
